Walnuts

Golden kernels, rich and buttery — thin-shelled varieties.

We grow walnuts on deep, well-drained soils and manage the orchards for well-filled nuts with a high kernel yield and exceptionally light-coloured kernels.

A walnut’s final quality is decided after harvest. We start picking as soon as the green hulls split naturally, then hull and wash the nuts at once to keep the shells clean. Temperature-controlled drying brings the moisture down to 8%, which protects the kernel’s oils from turning rancid and keeps the flavour fresh, so we supply walnuts until June. Finally, the nuts are sized and checked for sound shells.
