Pears
Buttery, aromatic and elegant — from summer pears to long-keeping winter varieties.
Our pears grow on fertile soils, and careful pruning opens every tree to the light, giving the fruit a refined texture and exceptional sweetness. We track flesh firmness and maturity indices to pick each variety at the right moment for long storage.
Like all European pears, ours finish ripening off the tree: after cold storage and carefully controlled conditioning, the flesh turns melting and buttery, with the delicate floral notes of the finest pear varieties.

Good to know
A source of fibre
Pears are a good source of dietary fibre: about 3 g per 100 g, much of it in the skin. Fibre supports healthy digestion. Pears also contain vitamin C and copper.
Ripe and fragrant
A ripe pear is at its best fresh: juicy, melting flesh, honeyed sweetness and a delicate floral aroma. Pears ripen from the inside out, so when the flesh near the stem yields to gentle pressure, the fruit is ready to eat.
Perfect pairings
Pears pair beautifully with walnuts and blue cheese and are perfect for poaching in spiced wine. Sliced thin, they top a crisp flatbread with gorgonzola and prosciutto.
